April Fool... Some funny Practical Pranks!!

So, today's Fool's Day. Read my last blog from 2009 here, pretty interesting actually (like all my awesome blogs). Anyways, enjoy this:

Toilet Trouble
Put a piece of bubblewrap under the toilet seat so when your victim sits, they are surprised by a loud POP!
You Spilled What
Find an old bottle of nail polish that you don't want anymore. Unscrew the cap and set it sideways on a piece of waxed paper, letting the contents flow out into a puddle. When it dries completely, peel it off of the paper. Now you can put it anywhere and trick someone into thinking there is spilled nail polish. Works best on something your victim cherishes or on one of their important documents!
Forgetful
Tape magnets to the bottom of an empty coffee cup, and attach it to the top of your car. Laugh at all the people who frantically try to get your attention as you drive by.
Two Black Eyes
Put a dark substance around the eyepiece of a pair of binoculars (we recommend dark eye-shadow instead of the black shoe polish used in the classic prank of yesteryear). Hand them to your victim and point out something for them to look at in the distance. Then laugh at the dark circles around their eyes.
Trip and Slip
Wait until your victim is in the kitchen. Come in and start filling a bucket with water (tell them you're washing the car or something). Only instead of actually filling the bucket, just pretend. Lift the bucket with both hands, acting like it's heavy and filled with water. Take a couple of steps in the victim's direction and suddenly "trip" and aim the bucket right toward them. They'll duck thinking they're getting splashed!
Do the Splits
Find a scrap of cloth. Place a dollar on the floor and stay nearby. When the victim comes by and bends down to pick up the dollar, rip the cloth loudly. Most people will reach back to see if they ripped their pants. One of the original classic April Fool's pranks of all time!
HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY!!!!

India won against Pakistan in ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 Semi-Final

So big news is that India won against Pakistan in ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 Semi-Final. Big deal?? Totally!! A cricket match of India & Pakistan is a BIG deal always. And this is Cricket World Cup. Pakistan's PM was invited & watching the game being played in Mohali in India (to see his team lose). Pakistan's Home Minister Mr Malik threatened his players saying "it'll really suck for them if they fix the match or lose" (or something like that, not sure). And they lost.... Bad for them, I don't know what's he gonna do. Or what Pakistani cricket fans will do (throw rotten eggs & tomatoes, they really do it). But you see... one team had to lose. That's how most of the games work. 2 people or 2 parties play & one loses, one wins. Pakistan has never defeated India in World Cup anyways. They just could not again, history repeated itself (right? that's what you say). I am no Cricket Expert to make comments or judgements that 'why this happened' (liek many so called experts or even on the street/train/office/coffee-shop cricket fans are doing). I am just happy India won. My lunch guy was not though. I sometimes pickup lunch from this wonderful cart on Wall Street, great food. It's run by this Pakistani guy... & he didnt seem excited/happy at all. I mean ofcourse he wont be, but he was visibly upset. Sauce overflowing in my platter, not looking good & what-not. He did try to congratulate me (like I made it happen). Even I was congratulating all my friends & family.. why do we do that?? Anyways... Good that India won. India deserves it & so does Sachin. It's gonna happen this time, we will win World Cup!!!

BTW, for all you americans & non-cricket followers, who are saying WHAT IS CRICKET???? I'll write another blog to explain cricket . In the meantime you can click here & read this if it helps. SO, until next time... Good Bye, Good Luck... TEAM INDIA ROCKS, LETS DO IT!!!

BUSY Week & MOVIEs Weekend... Seriously!!

I really had a busy week all last week, very busy, Seriously. You are always busy when you are in New York anyways. Just being in NYC & being a New Yorker makes a BUSY person. That's how I feel -> BUSY, Seriously!! I have been going to gym, not that regularly though. I decided I wanna go to gym in mornings now, but man (& woman too) winter/cold sucks. It's end of March & it's still in 30s (Fahrenheit). Seriously?? That's how/why I start believing in Global Warming (it does sounds more like Global Cooling/Colding though). I am not a morning person, no surprises there. But I am even less of a morning person in cold weather, that I have just identified. So waiting for warmer weather, seriously!!

Weekend was all about movies. I watched 7 movies, I totally did... Seriously!! Here's the list:
  1. Invictus - via Netflix Blu Ray through my PS3 (BR is AWESOME & so is PS3!!) | 8/10
  2. The Descent Part 2 - via Netflix Instant Play through my PS3 (Netflix is AWESOME & so is PS3!!) | 5/10
  3. Airplane II - via Netflix | 4.5/10
  4. The Fighter - via On Demand HD on Time Warner Cable | 7.5/10 (On Demand HD is not that awesome, its alright)
  5. Limitless - in Theater at AMC | 7/10
  6. Battle LA - in Theater at AMC | 6/10
  7. Gone Baby Gone - Netflix BR | 8/10
I am watching lots of movies through Netflix, Seriously!! It's people like me who do not make money for Netflix but so many others do. I rent 2-3 movies a week on Blu-Ray (which is awesome!!) & then watch stuff on Instant Watch too. You can say I am wasting lot of time, maybe. I am trying to control it as well, seriously. But it's fun, lot of fun. What else could I do in this COLD weekend of March end... Seriously??? Anyways... That's it for now. Hoping to have a nice warmer weekend. Thanks for reading, commenting (if you do) & keep coming back... SERIOUSLY!!

Really HAPPY HOLI in USA

So for beginners, here's link to my last two blogs on/for Holi...

Happy Holi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
बुरा ना मानो होली है... HAPPY HOLI!!!!

So now you know what I am talking about.. This holi was different. The most Holi I have ever celebrated in USA. I mean I actually celebrated holi. I played with colors, had Indian food & sweets, had fun with some of my friends & loved ones (ofcourse my parents & sister & friends from India were not there, which is really sad & it sucks... but this is the best it could get). This was not a Desi Party with one Punjabi song (mostly, Mundia tu bach ke rai) playing after every 10 songs & half the ppl doing what they do best; get drunk & dance, or something like that (dunno if you can call it dance mostly).... This was real HOLI celebrations at ISKCON DC. Yes, this was a very decent & nice version of holi, with old people & kids as well with youngsters & adults. But it was Nice, I am Happy. So Happy Holi to me, my parents & sister, my loved ones & everyone!!

(more details might come if I feel like it, or else.... :)

Comedy Central Roast of Donald TRUMP... by Rahul~RT

Last Night was Comedy Central Roast of Donald Trump on Comedy Central TV Channel (if you thought it was on some other TV channel, or Comedy Central was a country) where Mr Donald Trump, the Enterpuner & Businessman (if you thought it was some Donald Duck thing or some Card player) was ROASTED (which means made fun of by so called "comedians"). They had Whitney Cummings, Lisa Lampanelli, Jeff Ross, Marlee Matlin, Gilbert Gottfried, Anthony Jeselnik, Larry King, Snoop Dogg, and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino as roasters & Seth MacFarlane as Roast Master. So, let's see:
  • Whitney Cummings only gets to get into this, because some people do want eye candy, even when watching comedy, cuz they dont get comedy, but are there to show that they are smart enough to get it. And Whitney is as much Eye Candy as you can get in comedy world, sorry... She does have a fun-ny name though!! She was good though, I do like her presentation too & she's target of some NICE jokes.
  • Lisa.. well she is ideal for a comedian. Fat, ugly, foul mouthed & occasionally funny. And she's racist, to white people.. what more do you really want?? She's nice though... queen of mean!!
  • Jeff Ross is one of those few people who get there food & clothes & shelter off of these roasts. I mean we all need to do some charity.. right? He's good on roasts, should watch more of his work, if he does any..
  • Marlee Martin is some actress who played deaf role convincingly enough to win an Oscar sometime. She was convincingly retarded even last night, that's good I guess.
  • Gilbert is WEIRD... not just his voice but he himself. I can barely hear/understand what he's saying so it's tough to tell if he's not-funny or really-sucks.
  • Anthony who? So now they have fresh meat on the roasts just to add more eye candy... for G*Y audience?? Ok.... well, he was kinda funny, so I might accept just on that level.
  • Larry King was there, surprisingly... if you don't know, he's alive it seems. And he moves, he talks, & he talks lot of s*%t. He was alright i guess. Never been a BIG fan, but OK
  • Snoop Dogg the DOGG is my dawg... I like him. I mean a guy who cant spell even his own name, puts 2 Gs in Dog & can't talk straight YANGLISHHH, can still be all loaded with gold & be rich as a B*&%H. The Brother is FUNNAY!!
  • "Situation" is that there was someone called 'Situation' there who really caused a *Situation*. I am not gonna talk much about him, bcoz they already wasted there & our time by putting him on the show & letting him speak. I can't make it any worse. He was amusing to be made fun of & I think that's why they got him there, but they let him speak... REALLY??
  • Seth Mcfarlane is great. He just is, w/e... All the great work he has done. He's really good in Family Guy, quite funny voice-over. I really enjoyed his work in Austin Powers movies & even Scooby Doo. & I just love Robot Chicken. Hey... wait, this is not the same guy... OOPS. I thought he just got old, & I have mostly heard his voice or seen him with lotta makeup. I dont know. Whoever that guy Mcfarlane was, was allite I "guess".... U like it, don't you!!
  • Mr Donald J. Trump as we know him, the guy who's knows as TRUMP because he plays his own trumpet about himself a LOT. He ofcourse has a good (or very bad) hair guy cuz he makes it appear real (-ly fake). A self made Multi-Billionaire who created millions off of the billions he got from his rich father. I hear he might run for president, well wait for United States of TRUMPERICA where the President would be living in no where but in the TRUMP House in Washington DC, or it might move to NYC, or Vegas. And no wonder, if the whole country gets "FIRED" by him in his game of National Apprentice. He was a good sport I would say, & wish him Good Luck.... Being an ugly (but filthy rich) guy he is, & with a hot wife/cute daughter like that, he needs a lot of it!!

So... that was my ROAST of "Comedy Central Roast of Donald TRUMP". Feel free to comment & I hope you liked it.. & if you didn't, you can go FUNK yourself. This is your RoastMaster Rahul~RT signing off - Sayonara/Dasvidaniya!!

I also want to mention how much I & all of us missed Greg Giraldo, the great Roaster of all times & a wonderful comedian. May his soul rest in peace (if he had one) & may God (if he believed in one) give him & his family lot of blessings!!

Happy π Day

How? Today is 3.14 (2011), right? Yep, it's celebrated as π Day or PI Day... For you non mathematical folks who only know PI/π as PIE, the dessert, the pizza, basically FOOD; should know that PI or "π" (sometimes written pi) is a mathematical constant whose value is the ratio of any Euclidean plane circle's circumference to its diameter; this is the same value as the ratio of a circle's area to the square of its radius. It is approximately equal to 3.14159265 in decimal notation. Many formulae from mathematics, science, and engineering involve π, which makes it one of the most important mathematical constants. Well, guess we all like the other PIE better (atleast most of u). And if you don't, I am surprised you are reading my blog... so, Thanks!!

Anyways, I had a nice weekend yet again (surprise!!!... no, thanks). Watched Rango & Adjustment Bureau (you know how both). Bought 2 shoes at Payless with BOGO offer (Buy one get one half price). I guess they always have BOGO, maybe it starts every Tuesday & ends Monday... First time I bought exact same shoe I already had, this State Street Union Sport Oxford shoe I bought in Boston with Dad 1.5 yrs ago. Also got a pair of nice sneekers for Gym, first time bought brand new shoes just for gym use (What's happening to me?????).... Tried both of them today, one for work & other for gym (ofcourse) & felt okay. I guess it always takes time to break into your new shoes. I do need new leather shoes too (more shoes, what the FUNK). Why are formal leather shoes always uncomfortable for long walking/use? (c'mon... that's why they make/sell separate walking shoes!!).

Had good food this weekend. 2 places & both were good. Tribecafe (Asian Fusion) ofcourse much better, located in East Village or something like that, nice food & good sake. Jackson Diner is $10.95 buffet next to Patel Brothers (which is just AWESOME, I did lot of shopping there again). BTW, there is some shooting going on @ Times Square again, for some movie called New Year's Eve. They were shooting for Ball Drop @ Times Square tonight. Something's gonna happen @ my street tomorrow too in Hell's Kitchen. No idea what but saw the signs... That's NEW YORK CITY!!! However the weather's been cold since Sunday, which sucks. Hope it gets better very soon.... But until next time, Good Bye & Good Luck & Happy π Day!!!

Rango & Adjustment Bureau...

Rango is a movie about an isolated, disillusioned & crazy chameleon who falls in midst of a desert town struggling with water shortage, crime, politics & everything else (recession??). Now the chameleon is quite an actor/dreamer & becomes the heroic Sheriff of the town. When all the remaining water of the town gets stolen from the town bank, he sets on a spree to find the water & the thief unravelling unexpected (really??) secrets which ends up in water flowing all over the town (wastage-wastage). Inspite of the fact that the movie has strong political agenda & message, it's more like a light fun movie. Animation is nice, its funny & boring & exciting & scary (for kids) & all that in pieces. I'll give it 6/10.

Adjustment Bureau is a movie about how Chairman's (god?) agents (angels?) are always following us humans to make sure that we stick the plan chairman has created for us. We do not have free will since 1960; cuz from 1910-50 when we did, we human did lot of mess like depression, world-war, holocaust & all that. So Chairman has his agents with caps/hats/turban/bandana (w/e, head coverage is imp basically) follow us & do any adjustments as required to make sure we stick to plan. So.... watch the movie to find out what happens in this exact movie. But it's kinda nice & fun... I like Matt Damon & Emily Blunt & Terrence & Mckey & others are nice too. I like the quick doors all over Manhattan/NYC to access the whole city, I definitely would like to know & do that. I did want to know who the Chairman is, obvious guess would be Morgan Freeman (if we agree he's black) or Sean Connery (if he has to be white) or Amitabh Bachchan (if it could be Indian, real Indian). I'll give it 7/10.

Maximum India @ Kennedy Center DC: Ismat Apa Ke Naam with Naseerudin & Ratna Pathak Shah

I had a nice weekend & things have been good. Yesterday was my second day at Kennedy Center after last night of fun & frolic (click here to read) with Kailsh Kher, Zakir Hussain, Shankar Mahadevan & Hariharan. Today was Naseeruddin Shah's presentation of Ismat Apa Ke Naam by Ismat Chugtai, presented by Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah & Heeba Shah. Three stories narrated by three of them. Pretty good & nice, enjoyed it a lot!!

But I wanna talk about something else here. Atending a stage performance... a play, a symphony, an opera, a concert.... why peopel are so inconsiderate, so stupid? & why are kids even allowed at such things.... why i say that?? In the Kailash Kher concert, people came with kids. It was free show & was kinda crowded. everyone was standing and few parents had there kids on their shoulder... why? People behind them couldn't see the stage (including me). Were those kids even intesrested in something like that? mostly not... but all the people who were couldn't enjoy the performance. Forget about just the kids, many elders were also PITA. It was crowded and peopel wanted to sit, but some peopel just didn't wanna. Which is okay, but then move out of the way of th epeople who want to sit. Go with majority & be supportive in such scenarios... no?? Some people just don't understand & like to be PITA (to make it clear, this was a white American guy in Kailash Kher free concert). In the opera (which was AWESOME) & the play, there were kids talking during performance. One girl was crackling her pack of M&Ms. Even an adult was crackling his chips bag, What the Funk..... Anyways, think about it. Until next time, Good Bye!!

Maximum India @ Kennedy Center DC: Kailasha with Kailash Kher.. Symphony with Zakir Hussain, Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan

Maximum India festival is going on @ Kennedy Center in Washington DC. Today was Kailash Kher performing with Kailasha. It was awesome, lot of energy & fun. He didn't do Allah ke bande though, but what do you want in a free show. Next was symphony by Zakir Hussain, Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan & American conductor Esschenbach & oprah singer Kelly O Conner. That was very awesome. I'll put some pics & more coming soon.....

You can see the video to Kailsh Kher's performance here:

Beastly, the 2011 movie

I watched Beastly today in a special preview at AMC Lowes Village in East Village (after Bang Bang Club last week). Vanessa Hudgens was there for the preview, she's kinda cute, I guess. Kinda talented too, but need to grow up.. as an actor & performer. It's a movie based on book Beastly which is based on the classic fairytale Beauty & the Beast. I'll give it 5/10 (or maybe 6, cuz I watched it for free).

So, spoiler alert: Kyle (Alex Pettyfer) is a young, good-looking (really?) abnoxious high school boy who's son of a famous Newsman. Lindy (Vanessa) is a sweet girl at same school, kinda likes him but doesn't (like alll girls). Kendra (Mary-Kate, she suits the role of a crazy goth chick.... our sweet Mitchell, what has she become) is some sorta witch. So, Kendra gets insulted by Kyle & curses him to become all tattooed, scratched, metaled & cool looking (better looking than earlier for sure, except those boils on face). He has to get 'I love you' from true love in 1 year to get back to his original boring look, or this cool look will be permanent. So he goes & hides in other side of city (& mind you, none of this is actual New York City.. movie was shot in Montreal), in a coool apartment with his servant lady & a blind teacher (Neil Patrick Harris, who's kinda cool & fun in the movie). Then he manages to get Lindy to stay at his place with him and she thinks of him as a "good friend" while he's falling in love working hard to make Green Hoouse & stuff (basically to get ILU to get free of curse). Doesent happen untill end... I'll leave rest for you to guess as a surprise (if there's anything left to guess...).

NYC is getting cold, kinda sucks. Last night was SOOOOOOOOO COLD. So was today, weekedn was nice for a change but COLD again. When will this change?? Anything else...... mmmmm NOPE. Allite then, Thanks for reading & visiting. Keep coming back... until then, Take Care!!

24 hrs of no-water fasting... OM NAMAH SHIVAAY, HAPPY MAHASHIVRATRI!!

Today is Maha Shivratri, celebration of lord Shiva. I am on a no-water fast for all day. Sounds crazy?? I like it, I always did. I was on my fruit & vegetable only fast yesterday too. That's every Tuesday. I think fasting is good. It's cleansing your body & purifying your system. Considering how much crap we put, system totally needs cleaning, right?? It's also about self discipline & control, which I really like (I am very disciplined & controlled?? LOL).

I went to the only temple in Manhattan - RamaKrishna Temple at 96 Av B. They had all night celebrations with puja & lot of other stuff. They also had a nice Bharathanatyam dance presentation. & then meditation too. That's when I just left. No food & water for more than 24 hrs is getting on to me. So leading now. Happy Shivratri, fasting & just be happy.... Jai Ho!!

Oscar Weekend... with sunny warm weather & Raspberry

This was a nice weekend. Weekend of sunshine, nice warm weather, lots of relaxing & sleeping, almost no work done... and Razzies & Oscars. Well, the weather kinda cheated. It said it'll ran, but it didn't. It was all nice, sunny & warm & beautiful. I am not complaining, just saying that proper noice would be nice. Friday night was cold which I spent watching Bang Bang Club preview. Saturday was spent at gym & home (I am working out a LOT). I did have a Shake Shack Burger from uptown. Al I can eat there is the veggie burger (rest all is BEEF) & there black & white Shake which is NICE.

Sunday was spent resting mostly. There was supposed to be an Oscar viewing party in Lincoln Center whichI found was canceled after getting there all dressed up. So I had to settle for watching the Academy awards aka Oscars at home. I was quite please by the awards this time. Not as much by hosts. James Franco & Anne Hathaway were the youngest people to host Oscar, also the first (straight) couple. James looked high (wassup with dressing as DRAG??) and Anne was chirpy/bubbly but not fun/funny. She did have some nice dresses on, some. I find most of these Oscar dresses/gowns ugly. It's all about "who" are you wearing than what are you wearing. Mila Kunis sis have a nice dress on though.... Awards were kinda well deserved unlike some nominations (Kids are alright, really? Annette Benning was really that good??). Christian Bale really deserved his award (inspite of the fact I haven't seen The Fighter, but liked him in all his other work including Machinist). BTW, he does great British accent, very convincing. Natalie Portman did deserve the best actress Oscar for her performance in Black Swan, she's done a really good job being able to portray the full range of emotions, from sad, to happy, to sweet, to hot, to dangerous etc. I was really impressed. Inception got technical awards & Alice in wonderland for dress & cinematography. Others were good too. Really liked Kirk DOuglas on stage, he was fun & funny. All & all, a nice show!!

I didn't see the Raspberry Awards (Razzies) but heard that Manoj Night Shyamlan The Last Airbender lead the race with Sex & the City (which def deserved all the Razzies). M.Night is just suffering from over expectation. He's a nice smart guy & make good movies. I recently watched The Lady in the Water & found it quite interesting. I even liked The DEVIL. Every movie cannot be The Sixth Sense. C'mon guys, give him some space. Anyways, it's cool to see how they award for excellence & non-excellence too. LOL. That was the whole weekend and Monday today was "as usual". So until next time, Take Care & Be Happy... keep visiting/reading/commenting... Thanks & Jai Ho!!!!

This is to express my heartiest congratulations, deepest love & all my blessings & best wishes to my sweetest dearest sister a HAPPY-HAPPY B'DAY!!!

If you grew up with a sibling you would know what I mean. Having a sibling growing up, either younger or older has a huge impact on your upringing, & who you become. They are colse to you in many way for such a long time in your foundation years. And alll those sweet & sour memories. Like I fough a lot with my siter.. we even do now sometimes but it's not that bad. And hangout & talk & everything else. How I used to calm her down & run behind her anywhere she was taken ehen she was a baby. Or when I used to carry her around on my shoulders as a small kid. Or singing duets in balcony before hig school. Or every other big & small moment we spent  together... An she's grown up now. It's so amazing to see such things. Life is amaazing. Again with lots of love & best wishes, HAPPY-HAPPY B'DAY!!!!!

Bang Bang Club

I know, sounds dirty... but it is not. It's a upcoming movie based on real Bang Bang Club. It will be releasing in April 2011 & I have already seen it, actually saw it today. That's the fun of being in NYC. I saw it at NYU Cantor Film Center as a special preview. So.... I loved the movie (almost). It's a very well done & nice movie, I realy liked it.

The Bang-Bang Club is a Canadian-South African film written and directed by Steven Silver and stars Taylor Kitsch as Kevin Carter, Ryan Phillippe as Greg Marinovich, Frank Rautenbach as Ken Oosterbroek and Neels Van Jaarsveld as João Silva. They portray the lives of four photojornalists active within the townships of South Africa during the Apartheid period, particularly between 1990 and 1994, from when Nelson Mandela was released from jail to the 1994 elections. Malin Åkerman plays the role Robin Comley who does everything she can to publish the horrific pictures as portrayed by them. The Bang-Bang Club is a film adaptation of the auto-biographical book The Bang-Bang Club: Snapshots from a Hidden War co-written by Greg Marinovich and João Silva who were part of the group of four photographers known as Bang-Bang Club, the other two members being Kevin Carter and Ken Oosterbroek.

The film portrays the struggle of photo jouranlists caught up in a war & how they try to get pictures in that environment. How are they trying to survie in middle of a battle. How they empathize (or do not) with there subjects, which could be burning human beings or dead/killed youngsters, or starving/dying kids. I liked Taylor Kitsch's performance th ebst. Surprisingly he was not the main protoganist of the movie. It was Ryan's charcter & he did alright. But there was not much range in his character. All the other characters seemd to ahve more content, range & bettre performances too. The batle scenes were extremely well shot (including a very nice & potential coke commercial: Greg runs in between firing bullets in the battle, to get 2 bottles of coke-coca cola). Theres also a nice seen with an african girl playing with a bird (or a vulture waiting for his meal). Women characters are really week btw, just like to support their men (as they are supposed to, right? lol). The movie also had a good mix of humor inspite of the serious subject. Some very well done pics as well (I hear some of them were real & some done for the movie). And it's based on real events which makes it really interesting.

So, go watch th emovie whenever it releases. And keep coming back & readung my blog too. Thanks & take care!!... here are the two real pics which won putizer award:

Long weekends are AWESOME

Or is it just me?? I had a great long weekend. Ability to sleep-in late on a monday morning is like a super power, right? But that's not the only reason this weekend was awesome (I anyways didn't sleep a LOT this weekend)... I just had a great time (& it hand nothing to do with President's day actually)!!

Well, I was able to accomplish some shopping for home (like racks, stacks, etc) from Bed Bath & Beyond (I have never been to the Beyond section yet, but would love to sometime.. do they have beyond 20% discount in Beyond section??). They have this nice handle packing of stuff in NYC which makes it so easy to carry (I still ended up taking a CAB ride home, which I hate. However cabs in NYC are not bad in terms of money & efficiency). Cleaned up my place & did some arranging etc, looks GOOOOD. I got this crazy awesome Atomic watch from TIMEX (I am a TIMEX guy now, I have all 3 wrist, table & wall clocks now) which syncs time directly from Atomic Time server in Colorado. Automatically date, time, day, location etc is synced along with daylight savings. I love technology. Sill need to put it on wall & do more arranging of stuff at my place. It's been more than 6 months & now I am actively doing this, am i late.... Better late than never!!

So this is one of my crazy long blogs. Should I break them or write more but smaller? You know what? I am putting the movie blog separate right now and link to that one here. So now it's kinda shorter... SO thanks for visiting/reading... keep coming back & continue reading/commenting.. until next time... Good Bye & Good Luck... JAI HO!!!

Machinist, Secretariat & COCO.... Netflix-BluRay

This is just an extension to this blog of mine, just didnt want it to go so long...

I was home Friday night & watched The Machinist. Good movie, totally 7/10 (maybe 8). Christian Bale is s great actor & he looks ridiculously thin/anorexic in the movie. But thats not only why movie was good, its confusingly nice story line & performances as well. A movie which makes you not guess end till end is good movie at the end for me (too many ends, I see). I also watched Secretariat over the weekend and it was nice too, again 7/10 (or maybe 8). Those who don't know, it was one of the greatest horse in horse racing world (not the greatest though) & won triple crown in 1973. The movie is his story (Now horses  are getting movie made on them, What the Funk!!) & her owners. I was told horse racing looked fake in it, but I guess that's acceptable for the movie. If those horses could race they won't be acting in movies (or would they?). I watched Coco before Chanel as well, its alright 6/10 (maybe seven). Couldnt understand much of it... Ohh actually it was in french which I dont speak yet. Audrey was good as usual, I liked her in Amelia. The movie is about Coco Chanel, he founder of Chanel designer brand & very well done. I just didnt enjoy it that much so... Thanks to Netflix I am enjoying lots of movies & many of them on Awesome BLU Ray, Netflix & Blu Ray are AWESOME!!

Good Morning to a beautiful day of sunshine & happiness where you/we will say good things, do good things & have good things!!!!!!

This is what came to my mind today morning, a beautiful sunny morning today... the sun was shining, the breeze was blowing & the world look beautiful with sunshine. How much difference the sun & weather make, right? And I was feeling very happy & content while entering at work. BTW, so happy that I decided to be late to work by half an hour... why?? decided to take a morning shower!! ( I do shower everyday almost, no actually I do shower everyday after my evening gym class. sometimes i skip second shower in morning if I am getting late). I was excited about a wonderful day and got to work all happy & excited. Was talking to people about the nice weather & pretty day and it was all very nice. Went out to lunch in sunny (but windy & cold) weather. Had a decent soup & sandwich combo from Le Financier... Came back to work that the wonderful day hasn't really added a lot to my productive-ness for the day... and the day is getting over. SO, got lil upset & started doing the work (the daily job work, everyone knows how much exciting & fun it is!!). And as the sun was setting outside so was my happiness & joyfulness!! SOOOOO much for a beautiful day... LOL!!

The weather's been nice but I hear it'll be cold again over the weekend. Chuck was not that right it seems. I've been doing pretty well. Was in DC over the weekend & had a nice time there. Back to the city NOW. Watched the movies Guzaarish (5/10: an okay movie about euthanasia request by a ailing magician played by Hrithik & taken care by pretty nurse played by Aishwarya. Kinda week in presentation for regular audience. Seems SLB is making movies for Oscars only since he got dumped for Devdas) , Manhattan (6/10: A decent Woody Allen movie dealing with lots of emotions & relationship stuff. Again kinda complicated fro regular audience but well done movie) & Waltz with Bashir (7/10: Very interesting & nice movie about 1982 Lebanon war and Sabra & Shatila massacre, well done graphics & nice presentation, quite FUN). So that's it for now friends... keep visiting/reading/commenting..... l8rzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

HAPPY V'DAY!!

My dad called me today to wish me Happy Valentines Day..... Happy Valentines day to al of you as well... I have always asked, is it something to really celebrate about? A celebration of love... doesn't sounds bad at all.... a marketing gimmick so companies can sell tons of gift items & make money on anything & everything they can. However, if you have true love in your life.. everyday is a VALENTINE DAY.... Here are some weird/interesting/fun facts about V'Day:

  • The average American will spend $119.67 on Valentine’s Day this year, up from $100.89 last year. (economy is growing as you can see, we are OUT of recession!!)
  • Men spend almost twice as much on Valentine’s Day as women do. This year, the average man will spend $156, while the average woman will only spend $85. (I bet... doesn't it sucks to be a MAN, LOL)
  • More than one-third of men would prefer not receiving a gift. Less than 20 percent of women feel the same way. (Well, I know they are not talking about ME here...)
  • Around this season, a dozen long-stemmed roses can cost an average of $75, or about 30% more than the normal price of $58. (That's why I don't buy roses, they look more beautiful on trees/plants, or wherever they grow... like in botanical gardens etc)
  • More than nine million pet owners are expected to buy gifts for their pets this Valentine's Day. (damn.. doesnt it sucks to be human sometimes?? who's running the world???)
  • 15 percent of U.S. women send themselves flowers on Valentine's Day. (Awwwwwwww... aren't there some desperate ladies out there... Awwwwwww)
  • Teachers receive the most valentines, followed by kids, mothers, wives and sweethearts. (Well, not my teacher... rest, ummmm... I would say yes!!)
  • Over 50 percent of all Valentine's Day cards are purchased in the six days prior to the holiday. (I didnt purchase any cards... may be I should sell some!!)
  • The oldest surviving valentine dates from 1415. It is a poem written by Charles, Duke of Orleans to his wife. At the time, the duke was being held in the Tower of London following his capture at the Battle of Agincourt. (What better can you write while being held in captivity... crazy mind does crazy things.... you b%$#@&d)
  • One billion valentines are sent each year worldwide, making it the second largest card-sending holiday of the year behind Christmas. Women purchase approximately 85 percent of all valentines. (Good job ladies.. about time you start making that money yourself & then spend it... no???)
  • Hallmark produced its first valentine in 1913. (& have been ripping us off since then)
  • Today, Hallmark employs an 80-person research staff to analyze the sales pattern of previous valentines. That analysis, combined with more than 100,000 annual customer interviews, focus groups and in-store observations, will help create roughly 2,000 cards in Hallmark's core Valentine's Day line. (I hope they know there are kids startving in third world nations across the planet, global warming, recession & many other issues in this beautiful planet of ours)
  • In Japan, women are expected to give chocolate and other gifts to men on Valentine's Day. This tradition was started as a marketing campaign by Japanese chocolate companies. Men are not off the hook, unfortunately. They are expected to return the favor on March 14th, commonly known as White Day. ( Jap-Boys.. it seems you only have 27 days to celebrate!!)
  • BBC reports that Shiv Sena, a nationalist political party in India, has spoken out against Valentine's day, calling it "nothing but a Western onslaught on India's culture to attract youth for commercial purposes." (Well.. what else a bunch of girlfriend-less dudes do... poor boys!!!)
  • The Ivory Coast is the world's largest producer of cocoa, the main ingredient in chocolate. In 2001, the U.S. State Department reported child slavery on many cocoa farms in the Ivory Coast. A 2002 report from the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture estimated there were 284,000 children working on cocoa farms in hazardous conditions. (Don't they say love is hard, it costs a lot, it's painful, it hurts..... now you know why!!!!)
  • "I love you" in German is "Ich liebe dich." & in Hindi is "Main tumse pyaar karta hun"!!!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just want to FUNK with you.... what the FUNK???

Have you heard this song?? I just want to Funk with you... what's this about?? This is some song from some movie/album called 'Gaane bhi do yaaron' from ' A Band of Boys'. I remember song writers & lyricists using weird/confusing wordings to make songs attractive or controversial. Remember 'jab tak rahega samose mein aloo'?? Or many-many others. But who are you fooling???? Gone are the days of beautiful lyrics and wonderful & meaningful songs. And we have to deal with this now....
What the FUNK????????

Alcatraz and Drive on CA-1 to 17 mile Drive & Big Sur!!

I came back from SFO today (yesterday actually). It was a nice trip... San Francisco is nice, but it was rainy all the time.... like last time when I was there in April, not much cold though. I was there for annual meeting of my company located in Silicon Valley (Santa Clara, San Francisco Bay Area). The meeting was nice & so was meeting all these people at work... pretty NICE!!! I like California, but somehow not as much to move there. East Coast is nicer, specially DC & NYC... feels like home in USA to me. Nice weather variation, to see all four seasons distinctly... hot summer, cold  snowy winter & nice falls & spring too. It's just awesome!!

You know I had flight issues in beginning of trip (read here), but the trip overall was really great. First stop was Stanford University & Palo Alto, nice as usual but nothing special (or maybe there was something special). Had dinner in Junoon, nice Indian restaurant & all the food was really awesome. Then next in San Francisco, we saw Alcatraz Island/Prison in SFO, really interesting. They have this nice audio tour which is really nice (nice is nice... really??).One of the speaker on tour was Darwin Coon whose Book "Alcatraz: The True End of the Line", I read recently. Not a great writer but really good writing & interesting story. They have created the audio tour really well, but its just for the prison and not the whole Island. Then went back to San Francisco city & had dinner at Japanese place called Katana-ya, pretty nice place & good raman noodles & sushi too.

Next day was trip on CA-1 to 17 mile drive & Big Sur... pretty nice. Last time I drove to Santa Cruz which was one of the very nice & beautiful drive I have seen. But this was different & beautiful. Sea shore on one side & mountains on other, kinda aweosme. But we got late reaching to Big Sur & it got kinda dark, maybe need to visit next time (drive from LA). 17 mile drive is beautiful but repetitive, may be nicer in good weather when you sit somewhere & enjoy longer in place of just driving through it & not doing much except running around taking pictures etc. Can't say much about Big-Sur, I gues its nice. We did have dinner at Big Sur Bakery & Restaurant, had Duck Pizza & some fish dish with veggies. Fish dish was nice but Pizza kinda sucked. Dessert was nice, (some kinda Brouche?) & had good pistachio ice-cream. They did have a creepy restroom there though.. really creepy & back in woods. LOL... & then drive back to SFO (real SFO, the Airport). So the trip overall was awesome!!!!!!

Ok... This is old news, so the Last time for this year: HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011!!!!

JFK & American Airlines sucks.... Airport, Airlines & Flying woes!!

BTW, big news: For the first time in my entire life (entire!!) my flight got canceled on last Thursday due to snow. They were giving me something on late Friday but I called & convinced them to give me early morning flight. But Airtrain was not running in morning at JFK & I couldnt make it to morning flight (as per them). The flight was at 7.00 am, I was at Jamaica Center for Airtrain at 5.30 but there was no train for an hour. I got in Train at 6.30 & managed to reach the flight counter before 6.50 am. I had an email from American Airlines that flight is at 7.30 am & I was there in time. On the video display at airport it said "Boarding". But at the counter they didn't let me in. They said flight has left. Whata bunch of liars. The flight was right there but they probably over sold or sold my ticket to someone else but didnt let me board the flight. They gave me 10 am flight & I got to SFO really late.  American Airlines & all the airlines suck at stuff like these. They are mostly not helpful & they let people suffer if there are any cancellation or delays. This is not GOOD. I am not going to keep shut & I am going escalate this to higher authorities, lets see what happens.

Happy INDIAN Republic Day!!!

Today is Republic Day in India. First thing it reminds me of is the 26 January parade (or here). The annual parade in New Delhi telecast on DD (Delhi Doordarshan, the national Government TV Channel). & also the Flag hosting ceremony in school with free sweet s at the end (& early day off!!!). And second thing is the long essays we had to write in most of the exams & tests in Primary school for Republic Day.... here's the link to last two blogs I wrote: Blog1 & Blog2.
Happy Republic Day INDIA... Jai Hind, Jai Bharat.... JAI HO!!!

Lazy weekend... & I made JETS lose!!

I had a very lazy weekend, very-very-very... UGH, what's going on?? I mean, this is not the first lazy weekend any more, its been like this all this year (which is 7.6923076923076923076923076923077% over). Time passes by sooooo FAST. I did party with folks from work on Friday night (all night till morning 4am), it was fun. Also slept a lot over the weekend which is not bad (i.e. very good but LAZY!!), but didnt do some important things I should've done, which sucks!! Need to prioritize things properly & do stuff as well. I am going to California/SFO (I tend to say it SFO, which people hate cuz its the neame of Airport... but still, is it so bad to call it SFO??) this coming weekend for work. Would do some nice stuff & sure will have LOTS of FUN....

So... JETS lost an important game., kinda sucks!! I mean you know, I am not BIG JETS Fan or even big football (Why the hell they call it Football?? Like International Football championship/worldcup in which only US plays... WTF??) FAN but I went to one of there games which they won. I watched last game which they won. Didn't get to watch this one cuz I got (supposedly) busy & they lost. OOOPS!! Bigger OOOOOOOPs for upcoming weather. Its damn cold tonight & gonna be colder in morning. Would be in single digit temperature & would feel even feel colder, like negative. if it feels negative, it is negative.. if its temperature.. no?? W/e, gott abe preared for NYC COLD. So good luck folks.. thanks for visiting & reading & comenting (which you havent done BTW!!), Take Care!!!

life sucks..... but so what?? suck it up, it might taste good!!!

Am I right or what?? I just made it up... totally!! Some of u, my fans & foollowers & lovers will love this. And my haters & others might hate it... That's ;ife too. But every other day we feel that life sucks, soooo much. But then what? You think you are alone? You think you are the only one suffering? Why ME?? Isn't that the question all the time?? But..... have you tried looking at others, th eothers who are suffering much more.. or just at yourself sometimes... how much you might have suffered in the past, but this one isn't that bad... or could've been worse!! I mean, c'mon... give it a shot.. go with the flow, just do it, live it.. suck it up!! It might taste good!!!! Many times in life we just don't do things.... don't take that extra step... & keep sulking about it.... to feel that what only if we would've done it. How would you know if you don't try?? Most of th etimes the thing sre already bad enough that your small attempt can not make it worse... or even if there is a risk, is it worth taking? What's the trade-off?? Life is a business everyday, and you make right decisions to keep going, keep moving & being successful!! Or even if not, then at least keep learning, getting better... isn't that what life is all about???? life sucks..... but so what?? suck it up, it might taste good!!!

So... week's been okay so far.. not bad not too good or special either. NYC is not really good with handling snow. It snows & not gets cleaned/cleared like Boston or others. It's kinda surprising. Anything else special/cool... ummm.. nope. So thanks for visiting & reading. Please come back & comment too, it would be nice to know what u think & interact. Good Luck until next time... B'bye & Take Care!!

First long weekend of the year... Munnabhai MBBS

Hellozzzzzzzzz... first long weekend of the year was good, Very Good!! This one was also mostly a lazy/slow weekend honestly. But you know, one of those times/days which feel nice & good & happy even when they were lazy (like all the others, no?? which lazy days don't feel good?? they are always awesome!!). I was in DC (is it still home?? feels like it, but really?? I am a New Yorker (& I care!!)) and it was nice. Had some great food: aloo-gobi, til-laddoo, asian stir-fry, raitas & awesome chocolate cake too (thanks-thanks!!). Did lot of Netflixing too (I just made that term up). Watched my super-fav Munnabhai MBBS (9/10), Blue Umbrella (6/10), Jaws (7/10), National Geographic's Illicit Trade (7/10) & leftover episodes of Flash Forward on my bus ride to DC from NYC (why did they cancle the show, i loved it.... didn't you??).

Also spent weekend discussing who should be cast in Hollywood version of Munnabhai MBBS, here's my opinion/decison:
  • Munnabhai - Chris Rock or Will Smith (or maybe Eddie Murphy??)
  • Circuit - Carlos Mencia or Russel peters (or Me)
  • Munna's father - Morgan Freeman
  • Chinki - Natalie Portman or Jessica Alba or Amy Adams
  • Dr Asthana - John Malkovich or Jack Nicholsan or even Ben Kingsley
  • Zaheer - ME!!!
  • Dr Rustam - John Oliver (or someone European with accent)

What do you people think? If you haven't, you should see the movie. Its an awesome-awesome movie..... So its been mildly snowing/ice-raining etc in DC & NYC. Hope things will be good (which basically means, it'll snow a lot & i'll get to WFH :)..... Thanks for visiting & reading, come back again... A final Happy New year (not only for new visitors this time..) & Take care!!

First SNOW of the year...

It snowed tuesday night till morning y'day(was supposed to snow 24 hrs), but it really snowed this time.. the first real snow of 2011. Almost a foot of snow... but not bad this time at all (I have become pro after handling the BAD snow in DC last year)... I woke up in the morning with roads not looking bad (I was surprised, bcoz I had planned for WFH & so woke-up an hour late... you can imagine how much that sucks). They handled it pretty well this time.. & it didn't snow as bad as last time either. But after two hoax snowfall warnings, it's better this time. I don't know if I like snow that much anymore, it only looks good in movies with crazy action sequences or pretty actress singing-dancing clad only in sari/skirt (bare minimum) when actor is wearing FUR overcoat!!

But I did good yesterday. I cleaned my place (finally!!), had 4 bags worth of trash (not including me) to throw.... can u believe I had so much trash?? When we start cleaning we realize how much trash we have. All the trash we've been hoarding. Having a big place in NYC is not easy, but keeping it clean is worse. I need a drawer/cupboard soon. Should I try IKEA or local shops in NYC?? But my place looks AWESOME now.... basically because I put lots of pics of me on the walls everywhere, LOL.... There is one way to make it more awesome, guess what?? By putting more pics of ME!!! I went to gym today as well. There was a Virgin Yoga class today, I took that. Yoga class feels so good. The girl Melody who runs the class is really good. Drives the class so well. And I end up doing the (so called) advanced stuff/poses/asanas. I haven't done yoga for almost 14 years since school. & Yoga in america is little different (not like Baba Ramdev's yoga). But it's good, really GOOD!!

Thanks for visiting & reading, come back again... Happy New year (only for new visitors this time..) & Take care!!

Second weekend of the year... PS3 & SONY

Well-well... the second weekend was spent mostly sleeping (after the Times Square Ball Drop expedition plus being sick weekend)... and doing NOTHING.... Hope I am okay... what else I've done.... nothing actually.. didnt even manage to clean my place.. which I am supposed to do for LONG time... Watched the JETS game at a bar y'day night, JETS won so ppl were happy. I wouldnt care much.. but I've been to a JETS game with my friend (& they won, every time I watch.. they WIN) so now I am kinda interested. Been watching movies on NETFLIX too, FUN.

Also went to Sony Wonder Technology lab to watch there free movie. But even this 2nd time couldnt make it. They were sold out 15 mins before the show. HUH!!!! I was checking games for my new PS3.. so expensive!!! & MOVE is $100+.. no wonder how they make money. And I dont understand why do they have a device for just games (PS3) & another for internet TV (Google TV).... you should integrate it into one... NO??? I checked some SONY TVs too, wanna buy a TV, 32" or 40"??? Suggestions?? Should I get 3D TV now? looked at one 40" & was 1100 or so.. looked nice... I like SONY, they gotta do better for me :)

Anyways... that's it for NOW. rest, rest & rest... Hope y'all doing good so far...... Thanks again for reading & Happy New Year 2011.... cant believe its 2011!!!!

First Friday of the year... SNOW in NYC!!

I still dont feel well 100%, I am at like 85% (80-90 maybe.. yeah I have recently started talking in %age).  The weather's been cold but not too bad.. some false alarms about snowfall. It sucks how NYC handles snowfall though... Can't believe they dont have a good system in place. It used to be so good in Boston (I still stick to fact that I didnt like Boston). It was a mess in DC last year ofcourse, but they are not prepared for that kinda snow. It doesent snow like that in DC area, so they are never prepared & they werent last year too. But NYC.... it's a mess here. It's been 2 weeks since last snow & snow has not been cleaned completely yet. WTF?? i expected better from NYC....

Anyways... Thanks again for visiting & reading &..... Happy New Year 2011 again.... I still cant believe its 2011!!!!

First work day of the year... NETFLIX is awesome

Well.. for me.. when I went to work first time for this year..... yesterday I was WFH.. recovering from sickness. Well.. most of you don't know (because I don't tell) that I was sick all last week, with cold & stuff. And going out on New Year's eve for the Ball Drop in Times Square didn't help (need to write more about it for sure, will do soon). So, I spent my weekend in bed being sick. But I did go to Patel Brothers store in Jackson Heights, Queens and bought LOT of frozen & ready to Eat Indian food... I have been eating out since I moved to NYC & need to change the habit to save money & health too... Might not be best option to eat this food.. but whatever.. who cooks in New York (mexicans, chinese, bangladeshis etc.. i meant the cooks at all those cheap food places).. well not me!!
I also watched Cloverfield on Blu ray... I got NETFLIX, its AWESOME... BTW, I also got a PS3 last week.. from Craigslist.. yeah.... Can you believe it.. the role Craigslist is playing in my/our lives. One of most used sites including Google & Wikipedia... but most direct impact.. umm.. should write a separate post about this.. yeah... So I got a PS3 from CL & Used it to Watch Cloverfield.. I liked Blu-Ray & liked the movie too... the hand-held motion style makes it very involving.. like you are there & watching a areal thing.. very nice special affects work & very good performance (by the Monster.. he was trying to hide very well.. very camera shy)... if you've missed it: make a point to watch the end scene where something falls from the sky when they show the old scene in video. I'll give it 7/10. Taht's it.. will try to write again soon.. Thanks & Happy New Year 2011 (believe me, I wrote HNY 2010 most of the places/messages.. cant believe its 2011)!!!!

Inception IMAX & Leesburg outlet mall

Well... many of u might be wondering that what's the connection here. Well, I went to see Inception in IMAX today and also went to the Leesburg mall yesterday, and I probably wana talk about both. Inception is some movie, just great. Make you actually think, you can't watch it just like that... you news to apt lot of attention. And its good thing because you enjoy it, a lot. An awesome movie about dreams, very interesting. Leonardo Dicaprio is getting so good now and Christopher Nolan is just amazing. loved the movie!!
About Leesburg outlet Mall though, in all these years, it was my first time i went there and it was awesome. I bought 3 trousers & 7 shirts for $200. Everything had great discount onit, everything. And I love the clothes I bought, mostly Smart Business Casuals. Smart Business Casuals or even business casuals is a tricky term to understadn what it means. I understand that your shirt & T-shirt should have collars and pants/trousers should be comfortable but not too casual (probably not jeans either). I got trousers and couple of half sleeve & full sleeve shirts (just plain & stripes, one checks too). Just very nice, will definitely go again some time too. Going to New York tomorrow morning..... so bye till next time!!!

That's New York I guess...

It's been a week (actually more) in New York now, except I was HOME/DC/VA for the weekend. Been okay I guess, or I dunno... Going back again tomorrow for the weekend. Still been looking for a place. I saw this place near Times Square & loved it. I told the owner that I'll take it but now... I have been calling, texting & emailing but no response. Atleast should say no... but NO, nothing!! That's New York I guess....There was this very old lady using a walker & trying to get down the stairs. I passed her while going out of building but went back to ask her if she needed help. She saw me & startled, "What are you doing?????". I asked her if I can help her and she was like, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO". That's New York I guess... A bottomless (yeah, no pants) guy lying passed out in subway & no one cares. That's New York I guess...... But still chosing to be here, live here & be EXCITED.... That's New York I guess!!

Back from Home to New York!!

Hello World!!! Hello from the new New Yorker... Because "This is how we ROLL!!", LOL!!! I came back yesterday from DC. Is it home? Well, I have a place here which I still own (rented place), and my car is there, and part of my heart is here too. DC does feels like home, I mean Virginia. It feels nice, good!! New York is exciting but stressful. Anyways, I took the early morning bus (at 5.15 am, don't remember when was last time I woke up so early!!) and got to New York. Still looking at places here, need to look more, look harder. Looking for places is depressing. I found one place just 2 blocks away from Times Square, in Midtown West, let's see how it turns out. There are so many towns in New York, its confusing. Downtown, Midtown, Uptown, East & West... Whoa!! It's confusing, but I'll get it. I'll figure it out. Till then... Good Bye & Good Luck, Keep Rocking & Rolling!!!!!!

Going back to Virginia/DC (HOME??)

3 days in New York, I don't know how they passed. I was living in Long Island City (its not in Long Island, but it's in Queens. Industrial kinda area but decent!!) @ Quality Inn. It's an okay hotel have to say and okay area. But I got an awesome hair cut here for $10, very coool (cheaper than Virginia!!). Working at Wall Street is good, its okay atleast. At 6:00 pm I was usually the last person to leave (in Virginia) and here at 7:00, half of the office is still at work... that's how NY rolls!!! I went to Times Square yesterday night (at midnight) busy as usual & awesome. Tons of people & tons of Lights & tons of " ". It's nice... I like Times Square & Central Park... my two favorite places in NY!!! New York... its weird though. Metro.. sorry Subway is nice but no AC in stations. AC is a luxury at houses here too (in those small rooms & clingy places in Manhattan, shocking surprise!!!) .... Anyways, going back home tonight (now Virginia/DC seems like home) on Megabus.... Untill then.... Take Care & Good Bye!!!

Wednesday, July 14, 2010

Welcome, New York... I am HERE!!!

I landed in New York City today... not practically landed.. I mean not by flight, so don't know if I can call it landing. I took a bus (megabus, its really nice) from Washington DC to New York and landed on my feet when I got off the bus. I have to say it's a different feeling. I have been in New York many times, spent nights & days here. Actually my first night in New York, I spent in Central Park sleeping on a wooden bench (that's another story, to be shared another time). But yeah, I have been here many times, but stepping foot as a resident is different. I felt a heavyness in my heart, I really did. Why?? Hmmm.. I still need to figure it out. I guess that's New York. Begining of a new Journey, a new stage, a new life!!!

I am starting work at Wall Street with most reputed Financial Firm. Can't reveal more than that.... Need to find a place to live here... Need to LIVE here!!! Excitement? Stress? Joy? Tension? Happy? We'll see.... But yeah.... New York City, I am here... WELCOME (ME!!)!!!!!

When the going gets tough, tough get going... WIN IT!!!

Hellozzzzzz, it's been so long that I even forgot how to login to my blog... almost forgot I had a blog... kinda... I have been busy, I mean really BUSY!! So, many things going on afterall:
  • I have a fulltime JOB
  • I have started my own awesome Business
  • I am a fulltime student
  • I go to my taekwondo classes
  • I am the Best, Better than the Best (its not easy being the best, on top of that Better than the Best)
So, I am considering that fact all of you missed me, or atleast some of you.... or if you are back here reading my blog, you must have missed me inspite of the fact you love or hate me. Both are good, atleast you care about me. Anyways, I am just babbeling, right?? But that's what you people like, me babbling!!!

So going is getting tough here, nothing to be concerned about. Interesting things are tough and it's not worth it of it doesnt makes you work for it. And that's the time you have to step up and get the game going. Play the game & WIN IT. You know, as I say.. It;s ot good to get in any fights, but if you do... then make sure you WIN IT. Life is a fight, a battle, a war (including many other things as well) and you have to WIN IT. If it's getting tough, you get going... move on further & faster to WIN IT.

Finally... "Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away!!!"
